Know Food: Connecting Food Systems with Data

“This series will connect data science and knowledge engineers together with agriculture, food, and health domain experts to explore possibilities for applying advanced technologies to food systems, from farm to fork and beyond. We’re excited to see the conversations, ideas and projects that originate from this exchange between research, technical, and investment communities. If you are interested in how modern technologies can be leveraged to strengthen food systems, do join us! (Check the comments for the invite link).”

“Our first event of the series will be next Thursday, October 15th. KGC’s François Scharffe and IC-FOODS’ Dr. Matthew Lange (兰梦晓) will kick us off with an introduction to food system topics and knowledge technologies. They will be joined by guest Michael Atkin from the Enterprise Knowledge Graph Foundation, to weigh in on the value of semantic data in the food enterprise and practical implementation considerations.”

“Mark your calendar for Nov 19, Dec 17, and every Third Thursday after that — other confirmed speakers include Damion Dooley, Chris Mungle, Lambert Hogenhout, and Oshani Seneviratne.”
