A Walk-Through of Knowledge Graphs

July 28, 2020 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm SAST

A Walk-Through of Knowledge Graphs

“Abstract

Each of our brains house a comprehensive knowledge base. As we interact with the world, this knowledge base is used every second and updated with new information. The information contained within this knowledge base captures information about millions of entities, their attributes, and their relationship to other entities. Utilising this knowledge base effectively serves to form our thoughts and inform our actions appropriately. Similarly, in the field of AI, structured and unstructured data can be organised to create knowledge graphs which depict information about entities and their relations intuitively with high reliability and reusability.”

“In this talk, I will discuss what knowledge graphs are, highlight their value, demonstrate a knowledge graph in action, and discuss some of the use cases currently being explored by Cape AI.”
