Multilingual Knowledge Graphs for Knowledge Management Across Sectors

July 20, 2020 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm CEST

Multilingual Knowledge Graphs for Knowledge Management Across Sectors

“This is the first part of a webinar series giving insights into the ongoing developments by the Prêt-à-LLOD project.”

“The intelligent human, as opposed to artificial intelligence, can not only understand natural languages (the ones the human knows), but can also relate this understanding to the previously gathered experience, i.e. to some commonplace knowledge. To catch up with this challenge the research community is actively developing both novel NLP methods and tools and also techniques for extracting and formalizing the knowledge. We aim at combining the two worlds and therefore producing a hybrid intelligence that would be able to understand natural language and process it using a knowledge graph as a backbone for common sense.”

“In this presentation we will talk about the research initiatives at the Semantic Web Company, how they are aligned with our product development activities and how the users of our products will ultimately benefit from the applied science conducted in our company. We will present our approach to knowledge graph driven Natural Language Processing and give insights to our first successes in this area.”
